Bible Student has been developed as a prototype in order to give you some indication of the amazing potential of using a PC to study the Bible and to unlock its treasures in a powerful new way. It is appropriate that computer technology should be employed for such a purpose at a time when the Church is in the process of rediscovering the centrality of God's Word to every aspect of life on planet Earth. _
It is not possible to acknowledge everyone who has contributed towards making this project possible. My own contribution is minute compared to that of all those who, through the centuries, have faithfully dedicated their lives to the glorious task of transcribing, translating and comparing the Holy Scriptures and to whom we are eternally indebted. @
However, I would like to gratefully acknowledge the following:
The unknown person (or persons) who keyed in the entire text of the
King James Version and made it available to the public domain.
Borland International, Inc. for their excellent software development
tools Turbo Pascal 6.0 and Turbo Vision.
Richard Barns for the long hours he spent
-testing Bible Student and
the many helpful suggestions which ensued.
David Gibson for his initial encouragement and technical support.
Dr R J Rushdoony whose book "The Institutes of Biblical Law" has been
a constant source of inspiration.

Bible Student is supplied to you as "freeware" which means that there is no registration fee as such. The intention is that you should be free to use this program without charge, and also, within the terms of the copyright agreement, to share copies with friends and acquaintances whom you consider might also enjoy using Bible Student.
However, if you find Bible Student useful, and would like to make a contribution to enable its future development, this would be greatly appreciated. (Suggested amount is
15 sterling/$25.) Personal cheques in American dollars welcome!
If you have the time to write I would be very pleased to hear from you with respect to any of the following (you may wish to use the response form on the distribution disks which has been included for your convenience):
Bugs in the software.
Errors in the text.
Ideas for improvements or features you would like to see added to
Bible Student.
Details of the system you are using to run Bible Student including
processor, DOS version, memory, screen, floppy disks, hard disks, mouse,
printer etc.
Please write even if you are unable to send any money. I would love to know if you are finding Bible Student useful and how it could be improved to suit your needs. Your name can be added to the mailing list in order to notify you of upgrades to Bible Student when they become available.
